Oscar Isaac on why he wanted to play Solid Snake in the Metal Gear Solid movie

Oscar Isaac's dance card is looking for pretty full. The actor is currently cinematography the Marvel serial Moon Knight, will portray Francis Ford Coppola in an upcoming movie about the making of The Godfather, and has a role in Adver Astra director James Robert Gray's next feature film, Armageddon Time, alongside Robert De Niro, Anne Anne Hathaway, and Cate Blanchett. Somewhere, amid all that, Isaac will shimmer Solid Snake in the unprecedented Golden Gear Solid movie from director Jordan Vogt-Roberts.

"I just loved the mettlesome," Isaac tells Total Plastic film when asked about his history with the video courageous series and what attracted him to the new plan.

"I know the impression that the game would give me every time I'd play. It's just a strangely segregated, mournful, lonely unfit to play that has these unconvincing moments of violence and terror, with these weird, psychedelic concepts and villains. But, yes, it's kind of like psychedelic military horror things that happen.

"And the truth is, underneath the whole affair, it's an anti-war story. So I recall those are the elements I truly love. And, ilk I said, I love the feel of playing it, and the outsize doubtfulness of: can something like that be transferred – or can you explore those themes in a real interesting way – on moving-picture show?"

We, unfortunately, know very little else all but the Metal Cogwheel Solid movie, though director Vogt-Roberts has previously aforementioned the flic will "create a spick-and-span type of action on sieve that as wel is based in the tranquillity of the stealing."
